Consumerism
Welcome to the United Arabic Emirates, the richest country in the world. The only place where you will find a seven-star hotel (built with in excess of six tonne of gold) and the world’s largest mall, housing an indoor skiing centre and valet carpark that could be mistaken for a Rolls Royce showroom. Indeed the term ‘amazing’ does not do it justice. Cities like Dubai and Abu Dabi are emerging as the tourism mega-cities of the future - they're built on the extraordinary oil money that continues to gush from the Arab region.
Poverty
As a young person you want to do a million things and be so many things to so many different people, but it’s important to focus on doing one thing well. It’s not always an easy journey but it’s sure worth it. There are more and more young people taking on the challenge of ending the suffering of others. There’s no excuse. Organisations are always looking for volunteers to help with the cause.
Free Will
If God denies hijackers the right to choose, then He also must deny everyone else the same privilege. He either gives humans free-will or He doesn’t; there is no halfway. The glaring question now is: why did God give us free-will if it has caused so much pain, suffering and anguish?
Who am I?
Living in today’s world, we have everything at our fingertips. We’ve never been richer or had access to more opportunities. We’ve experienced a 16 year financial boom, which means we have grown up in era with a lot of money to spend and without the struggles and hardship known to previous generations. If there was ever an era to be born you’d choose this one, prosperity plus!
The Bible
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
